Sunrise Institute of Medical Sciences (P) Ltd., constituted as a Private Limited Company incorporated under the Indian Companies Act 1956, with the avowed objective of providing immaculate healthcare facilities matching international standards of patient care, is being spearheaded by Dr Hafeez Rahman P.A., a charismatic and internationally acclaimed Gynec Laparoscopic Surgeon, who is also the Chairman of the company. He was the youngest secretary of FOGSI, the largest medical society in India, and the youngest chairman of GOGSI. He was also the Hon Secretary of Indian faculty of Endoscopy and the founder Vice President of IMAGE, Gynec Endoscopy Society.
Dr Hafeez Rahman Padiyath - Founder/Chairman, is world-renowned as one of the pioneers in Minimally Invasive Surgery or Laparoscopic Surgical Procedures. Over the years, he has developed and standardized many unique techniques of his own, which are now diligently followed worldwide.

Ms. Parveen Hafeez, an able and dynamic personality with keen business acumen and inter-personal skills, is our Managing Director and the driving force behind all our activities. Her dynamic, warm and caring personality has helped create utmost professionalism and good work ethic among our staff and management. Medical Director - Dr R. Padmakumar DNB, MNAMS, Dip. ALS, FAIS, is our Consultant Laparoscopic and Cancer Surgeon. A reputed Laparoscopic Surgeon, he has worked and trained in various prestigious medical institutions in India like AIIMS, Apollo Specialty Hospital, Chennai, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, is also the invited faculty for all major surgical conferences. He was the unanimous choice of Surgeons of Kerala to be the Hon. Secretary of Association of Surgeons of India, Kerala Chapter.
Dy. Medical Director - Dr D S Manjunath MS (Ortho), is our Consultant Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon. He has performed more than 5,500 major Orthopedic Surgeries and is an acknowledged master in Spine and Hip Replacement Surgeries. He is also qualified in "Immediate Trauma Life Support Society of India".
Dy. Medical Director - Dr Prathap Kumar (MB, FRCS(Tr & Orth), FRCS(Gla), D'Orth) is our Consultant Upperlimb Surgeon. Sixteen years of experience in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery from United Kingdom. Had initial Orthopaedic training in India followed by general Trauma and Orthopaedics training and speciality training in Shoulder and Upper limb surgery in UK. Was a consultant in Shoulder and Upper limb Surgery at Darlington Memorial Hospital which is a Tertiary Upperlimb referral centre of Durham University Hospital, Co.Durham, UK. Highly experienced in Key hole surgery and Joint replacement of Shoulder, Elbow and Hand joints. Has developed special interest in joint instabilities. Has extensive teaching experience and hold ATLS (Advanced Trauma and Life Support) provider status.
Dy. Medical Director - Dr Rajeev Jayadevan, MD (Vellore), DipNB, MRCP(UK), Gastroenterology Fellowship (New York) Dr Rajeev Jayadevan completed his MBBS and MD General Medicine with top honors from Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore* in 1995. He received training in Clinical Epidemiology and Public Health from Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Holland. He was awarded MRCP (UK) from England in 1996. He obtained Board Certification in Medicine and Gastroenterology (Fellowship) from New York Medical College, and spent 3 years in the UK and 10 years in the US before returning to his hometown of Kochi. He accepted the responsibility of establishing the Gastroenterology Department at Sunrise Hospital, Kochi.
Dy. Medical Director - Dr Cyriac Mathew MBBS, is our Casualty Medical Officer who is in charge of our Accident and Trauma Care unit. Qualified in "Immediate Trauma Life Support from Trauma Life Support Society of India" and highly experienced in hospital administration and management, he has served in the Force Medical Services of the Royal Army of Oman, Sultanate of Oman armed forces, working closely with doctors from UK, Jordan, Australia, Egypt, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
We are now in the process of opening a chain of hospitals across Kerala and abroad and have already launched one each at Palarivattom in Kochi, Changaramkulam , Bandra(W), Malad (W) and Kanjangad in North Kerala.
